Optimize and Promote Your Website

Now that you have a website how do you tell others about it? How do you drive traffic to your new site? Here are a few practical and economical ways to promote website traffic!

Online

1. First thing's first. Be sure you have fast loading pages. Optimize your code and use keywords throughout your pages as well as in your meta tags. (Yes, some search engines still use meta tags)
2. Submit your site to search engines and directories.
3. Create relevant feeds and links for your site.
4. Create a Facebook Page, Google + Page, MySpace, LinkedIn and/or on any other relevant social network site.

Offline

Make sure your website address (url) is visible on all of your business materials: letterhead, business cards, business vehicles, pens and other promo items, t-shirts, store window, shopping bags, etc.
